Director of Sales

Under the general supervision of the Executive Director, the primary responsibility of the Director of Sales is to build market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships. The Director of Sales will work to achieve business growth within health utilization management, workers’ compensation utilization management, disability management and RAC auditing.
The Director of Sales Executive is responsible for developing and implementing account management strategies for retention, customer satisfaction and revenue growth for assigned clients. Duties include development and maintenance of key business relationships with clients, client brokers and key vendors.
KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with Executive Director to set strategies and objectives for on-boarding new clients
Maintain a close collaboration between Marketing Dept. and all other functions within the Organization, particularly Sales, Clinical, and Managed Care, to stay abreast of all capabilities of the Organization
Work with Executive Director to ensure accurate external messaging
Monitor sales performance to ensure quarterly and year-over-year growth
Responsible for ensuring all plan data is obtained for RFP submittals
Facilitate client meetings and Finalist presentations.
Participate in Quality Management Program committee planning and meetings as needed
2-3 years of management experience in Sales, Sales Development or Inside Sales Management, preferably in the insurance industry
Experience growing and scaling a successful sales development team in a fast growth environment
Proven track record at establishing and achieving or exceeding measurable goals in a highly automated Sales Development environment
Ability to train, coach and mentor sales development reps and interns
Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and with multiple departments including sales, marketing, product marketing and services
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
3+ years’ experience in Utilization Management, Claims Adjudication, Drug Utilization Management and Disability Management
2+ years working with marketing and sales strategy
Must be able to manage multiple projects in a fast paced work environment and work with a team or independently
Ability to complete projects, resolve issues and make recommendations to move projects forward
Highly motivated self – starter
Education and Experience
A Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Health Science or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing
Minimum of 3 years of experience in insurance industry
Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to adapt and be flexible within a changing work environment.
Strong proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
Ability to work independently and collaboratively while managing multiple deadlines
Ability to adapt and be flexible within a changing work environment
Excellent attention to detail a must
